The Effect of Diabetes Self Management Education (DSME) with Audiovisu-al Media on Self-Care and Decreasing Blood Sugar Levels in Diabetes Melli-tus Patients Type II

Background: Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a metabolic disease characterized by hyperglycemia that occurs due to abnormal insulin secretion. Self Management Education (DSME) an important role in preventing or delaying complications people with pre-diabetes and diabetes. Aim of study analize effect audiovisual media on self-care decreasing blood sugar levels diabetes patients type II
 Methods: Using quasy experiment research design control group design. Samples 34 respondents (17 the 17 experimental group) chosen randomly odd even way according data DM. care measured Summary Self-Care Activity (SDSCA) questionnaire, level measure glucometer. Intervention given DSME for 14 days, get treatment community standards. Bivariate analysis used non-parametric Wilcoxon test see difference between pre-test post-test variable differences groups using Mann-Whitney test.
